A true honey paradise in the heart of the idyllic medieval town of Slovenj Gradec still represents the dream of our ancestors — a dream that has endured for centuries. The deepest family secrets have been preserved to this day, as the rich tradition of honey-making, lect (decorated honey bread) crafting, and candle making is successfully passed down to the ninth generation of the Perger family.

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia has recognized Perger 1757 as a bearer of intangible cultural heritage in the field of lectarstvo (traditional Slovenian decorated honey bread). The company is also the proud recipient of the Golden Thread (Zlata vitica), the highest national award for domestic and artistic craftsmanship.
